Covid-19: Gujarat govt to telecast lectures for Class VII-XI

To ensure that students don’t suffer for not attending school due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the state government will be telecasting lectures for Classes VII-XI from March 19 to 28 through regional television channels and Doordarshan. This will help students revise their syllabi at home.

GANDHINAGAR: To ensure that students don’t suffer for not attending school due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the state government will be telecasting lectures for Classes VII-XI from March 19 to 28 through regional television channels and Doordarshan. This will help students revise their syllabi at home.
According to officials in the state department of information this arrangement was made by CM Vijay Rupani.
For Class VII, lectures will be telecast on Science, English and Maths from 12 to 4pm on various regional news channels, while for Class XI the telecast will be from 11am to 6pm.
The government said that for Classes VII to IX lectures will be telecast only for Mathematics, English and Science while for Class XI they will be on Chemistry, Physics and Biology. Regional channels telecasting lectures for Class XI will also telecast lectures on Maths on March 27 and on Accountancy on March 28. Lectures for Clas XI will also be telecast from Doordarshan, Ahmedabad, from 3pm to 4pm.
