Covid-19: 300 French nationals stranded in Puducherry, TN to be flown to Paris

PUDUCHERRY: The Consulate General of France in Puducherry and Chennai has made arrangements to repatriate 300 French nationals (non-residents) stranded in Puducherry and in Tamil Nadu.
The French government has arranged a special flight to Paris from Chennai this evening to fly them back to their country. The consulate obtained the necessary permission from the Indian government as well as from Tamil Nadu and Puducherry governments.
The French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs has launched efforts to repatriate more than 1.3 lakh French tourists stranded all over the world in the wake of lockdowns imposed by several countries to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
