BENGALURU: A group of activists allegedly associated with pro-Hindu organisations pelted stones at the residence of Amulya Leona at Shivapura in Chikkamagalur district of Karnataka. She is accused of raising 'Pakistan zindabad' slogan in an anti-CAA rally in Bengaluru.
Koppa police informed that a group of people pelted stones and other items at the residence of Amulya late on Thursday.
"We registered a case in this regard. Probe is on," a senior police officer said.

Police protection was provided for Leona's residence following the incident. The miscreants who shared the pictures of attack are absconding.

Meanwhile, Amulya's father Osvlad Narohna apologised for the act of his daughter. "I am apologising to the entire nation. I will not extend any legal help to her," he said to reporters in Shivapura. He alleged that someone instigated her. "Let her be in jail for a few days. She will understand the law," Narohna said, adding, she is not in touch with family for the last five-six days. I warned her against such provocative speeches. I will apologise for her act. I will not forgive my daughter.

Chief minister BS Yediyurappa said that some organisations are trying to disturb peace in the state. He told reporters in Mysuru that such groups are instigating teens like Amulya to take up anti-national activities. He said police investigation has indicated that Amulya was associated with Maoist activities earlier.

The rally was organised by AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi on Thursday.

Hyderabad MP and chief of All-India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen Asaduddin Owaisi on Thursday asked so-called liberals to stay away from the Muslim movement that does not want to hear, think or say anything related to Pakistan.
"I am saddened by whatever happened at the beginning of the programme because when the country was divided on communal lines, my grandfather chose to stay in India because for us, Bharat was 'Pak' (pure) and not Pakistan. We are all thankful that our ancestors took the right decision," he said.
Owaisi said he was angry that slogans hailing another country were raised at the gathering. "Nobody has the right to come here and raise such slogans when we are, even after 70 years of freedom, looked through the prism of Pakistan," he said, asking the so-called liberals to form their own 'Bilal Bagh'. "Go make your own 'Liberal Bagh'. Don't come here and teach us what to do, how to protest. We reject this patronising attitude. We don't need it," Owaisi said.
To roaring applause from the audience, Owaisi said Indian Muslims are filled with self-confidence now.
