2020 Tata Harrier teased, BSVI engine and automatic option on the cards

NEW DELHI: Tata Motors teased the new iteration of its top-of-the-line SUV - Harrier - on YouTube, revealing a glimpse of what the new avatar may look like.
The Indian auto major will be on its tip-toe at the upcoming Auto Expo 2020, where it plans to showcase a lineup of 26 vehicles -- 14 CVs and 12 PVs. We expect the BSVI avatar of the Harrier to premiere at the marquee event.

Tata Motors took to YouTube, releasing a couple of short video clips on the updated Harrier.In the interiors, the noticeable changes include a rotary dial to select modes and a bidirectional gear stick (P, R, N, D). Currently, Harrier boasts a 1956-cc, in-line 4-cylinders, diesel engine mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox.
The new Harrier is expected to pack a handful of features to compete with the likes of MG Hector and Kia Seltos, which have gained mileage in the creature comforts front. The styling changes on the body panel, however, could be minimal.

The video captioned -- "Driving Pleasure Like Never Before" -- dramatically teases a panoramic sunroof. Around the front console, a fair amount of plush material is offered.
Harrier currently comes at Rs 12.69 lakh for the base XE variant and goes up all the way to Rs 16.25 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top-end XZ.
Tata Motors has started 2020 aggressively, launching the all-new premium hatchback Altroz along with BSVI forms of Tiago, Tigor, and Nexon. The company also intends to roll out Gravitas and Nexon EV soon.
