Gujarat ATS seizes Rs 99.40 lakh in demonetised notes

AHMEDABAD: Gujarat ATS late on Wednesday night seized demonetised currency of the face value of Rs 99.40 lakh from a man named Manish Sanghni.
ATS SP Pinakin Parmar said the accused from Morbi was on his way to Ahmedabad to get the notes exchanged. "He was caught from near Sector 28 garden in Gandhinagar. We are currently interrogating him about the place and the person he was going to get the notes exchanged from," said Parmar.
Earlier, the Gujarat ATS had seized such notes in August from Godhra.Parmar said it is surprising how such demonetised notes are coming out even after four years.
