Gujarat records 1,101 cases & 22 Covid deaths in 24 hours

AHMEDABAD: Gujarat in 24 hours ending 5 pm on Sunday added 1,101 Covid-19 cases, taking the state tally to 63,675. It was the sixth consecutive day for the state to record 1,100-plus cases in a day.
In the past seven days, the state has added 7,853 cases at the rate of average 1,121 daily cases. The cases include 237 from Surat, 155 from Ahmedabad, 96 from Vadodara and 94 from Rajkot.
The state also recorded deaths of 22 patients, taking the death toll to 2,487.The deaths include 12 from Surat, two each from Ahmedabad, Vadodara and Bhavnagar, and one each from Devbhoomi Dwarka, Gandhinagar, Patan and Rajkot. A total of 805 patients got discharged in 24 hours, taking the total to 46,587 — includeing 207 from Surat, 110 from Vadodara 107 from Ahmedabad, and 39 from Dahod .
