Woman knifes domestic help in Ahmedabad

AHMEDABAD: A 25-year-old domestic help lodged a complaint on Sunday, stating that her employer beat her and then knifed her.
Pritikumari Ram filed a complaint against her employer Kalyanidevi Singh of Jaydeep Towers in Vasna.
According to Ram’s complaint lodged with Vasna police, she has been living in Singh’s house for four years.
Ram said that on Sunday Singh scolded her, accusing her of not working properly.
“The FIR alleges that Singh abused and beat the complainant,” said inspector M M Solanki of the Vasna police station. “Then Singh picked up a knife and lashed out at the victim, injuring her left hand.”
Solanki said a case has been registered under relevant provisions of IPC.
