FIR against HD Kumaraswamy, Siddaramaiah for IT-raid stir

BENGALURU: Commercial Street police registered an FIR against former CMs HD Kumaraswamy and Siddaramaiah, former deputy CM G Parameshwara, ex-police commissioner T Suneel Kumar and several others for a protest held in front of the income-tax department office on Queens Road on March 28.
KPCC president Dinesh Gundurao, former ministers DK Shivakumar, Sa Ra Mahesh and DC Thammanna, former MP L Shivarame Gowda, ex-MLA Munirathna Naidu, police officers Rahul Kumar Shapurwad and D Devaraj and others deployed for election duty on that day were also named in the FIR.
The FIR was registered following a direction issued by the special court for elected representatives, which was based on a complaint lodged by activist A Mallikarjuna.
The complainant claimed that in the guise of holding a protest against I-T raids, the then JDS-Congress coalition government leaders not only blocked traffic but also disrupted work of department officials.
