South Western Railway to operate parcel special services to Patna, H Nizamuddin
BENGALURU: South Western Railway will operate timetabled parcel express special trains to transport essential commodities in view of Covid-19.
Train no.00605 YeswanthpurH Nizamuddin weekly Parcel Express Special leaves from Yeswanthpur at 7pm on Mondays to reach H. Nizamuddin at 10.30am on Wednesdays from April 6 to 13. In the return direction, Train No.00606 H. Nizamuddin – Yeswanthpur weekly parcel special departs from H. Nizamuddin at 9.15pm on Wednesdays to reach Yeswanthpur at 2pm on Fridays.

Train nos.00607 Yeswanthpur – Patna - Gorakhpur weekly Parcel Express Special departs from Yeswanthpur at 1pm on Sundays to arrive at Patna at 4pm on Tuesdays and leaves at 5pm to reach Gorakhpur 11pm. In the return direction, Train No.00608 Gorakhpur – Yeswanthpur weekly parcel special leaves from Gorakhpur at 1pm on Wednesdays to reach Yeswanthpur at 9.45pm on Fridays from April 8 to 15.
"Unlike other regular parcel vans or any goods train, the above special trains run on time table, with assured delivery time. This is an initiative of Indian Railways to cater the specific requirement of movement of goods. The industrial houses companies, interest groups, NGOs and individuals are requested to avail this facility" said a SWR release.
