While Shiksha wali chai signifies educational and sports facilities, another variety, Swasthya wali chai, aims to highlight improved health facilities in government hospitals, the mohalla clinics and polyclinics among others. “The special tea” represents the basic facilities provided such as cheap electricity and water and free bus travel for women. And the fourth is Vikas wali chai with “ingredients” like doorstep delivery of citizen services, CCTV cameras and free Wi-Fi adding to its taste.
Billore said that he was not associated with any political party, but only wanted to appreciate good work. Over 30 volunteers are likely to join him shortly and they will put up tea stalls in all assembly constituencies. He said that he is open to serving tea for free even for BJP and Congress if he is convinced that they have done some good work in an area.
A party functionary said that the tea stalls will help people learn about the achievements of the AAP government.
Meanwhile at a press conference, Congress functionary Harnam Singh on Thursday joined AAP. Three-time councillor from Shahdara ward 29, Preeti, former independent councillor from Chhatarpur ward among other local functionaries from Congress and other parties also joined AAP at a function.
