HYDERABAD: State Congress chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy signed off the campaign with an emotional appeal to the voters to signal the beginning of an end to what he called an “aristocratic and arrogant” TRS government. Addressing roadshows in Neredcherla, Huzurnagar and Kodad municipalities on Monday, he said TRS was distributing liquor and cash to voters.
The TPCC President strongly condemned KCR for supporting the BJP Government at the Centre on the NRC and NPR issue by not speaking against them.
Stating that not a single Muslim should vote for TRS in municipal elections, he said while Chief Ministers of many states have openly opposed CAA and announced that they would not implement NPR in their States, KCR has been maintaining silence on the issue. Despite repeated demands by the Congress for a special Assembly session to reject CAA, NRC and NPR, he said that the Chief Minister did not respond. He said the people of Telangana, especially Muslims could force KCR to pass a resolution against CAA in Telangana Assembly by not voting for TRS in municipal polls.
