Punjab: Former hockey player among two shot dead in Patiala
Unidentified criminals allegedly shot dead a former hockey player and another person outside an eatery in Patiala's Pratap Nagar area on Wednesday night. The deceased have been identified as Amrik Singh, son of Gurjant Singh, and Simranjit Singh Happy, son of Darshan Singh.
Cops reached the spot to investigate the matter.

The deceased have been identified as Amrik Singh, son of Gurjant Singh, and Simranjit Singh Happy, son of Darshan Singh. Amrik played for the Punjab electricity board's hockey team in 2003-04.
After receiving the information about the incident, the police reached the spot to investigate the matter and shifted the bodies to the mortuary of Government Rajindra Hospital.
Sources said the deceased had a tiff with some people outside the dhaba at around 11 pm.
