95,000 offences for lockdown violation: Anil Deshmukh

MUMBAI: Maharashtra home minister Anil Deshmukh said 95,678 offences have been registered for violation of lockdown. Also, 18,722 arrests have been made, 53,071 vehicles have been seized and Rs 3.5 crore has been collected in fines from offenders.
There have been 184 incidents of assault on policemen. “These incidents are being treated very seriously, and strict action has been initiated against the accused,” said Deshmukh.
He also said 2,11,638 people have been quarantined and 642 violated quarantine.
Over 456 police personnel have been infected by Covid-19 virus. Deshmukh also said nearly 4 lakh passes have been issued for essential service-providers and those in emergencies, who want to travel across districts.
