Three Maharashtra cops die of Covid in 24 hours

In the last 24 hours, three police personnel from Mumbai, Jalgaon and Satara succumbed of Covid, taking the state police toll to 121, including 58 from Mumbai.

MUMBAI: In the last 24 hours, three police personnel from Mumbai, Jalgaon and Satara succumbed of Covid, taking the state police toll to 121, including 58 from Mumbai. State police have seen 294 personnel testing positive in a day, taking the total cases in state police to 11,392, while 9,187 recovered and 2,084 are being treated as on Tuesday. The state police report showed 18 personnel succumbed since August 1.
Constable Balnath Ghoderao (56) of RAK Marg police reported sick on July 27 and was admitted to Kasturba hospital (TOI, August 12).

Constable Gopal Boi (37) of Chalisgaon police in Jalgaon succumbed on Tuesday morning after he was admitted for fever and breathlessness on August 2.
Constable Anil Gosai (48) from Rehmantpur police in Satara died on August 11 after he was admitted on July 21. He reported to work on July 21 but felt uncomfortable. He had comorbidities.
