Elizabeth Hurley has expressed her shock and sadness over the sudden demise of her former flame, Steve Bing. News broke on Tuesday about the American businessman’s death by suicide.
According to reports on various entertainment portals, Bing fell from the 27th floor of a luxury apartment building in Century City, California. He was pronounced dead on the site. Although reported to be an apparent suicide, investigations into his death are still underway.
Elizabeth took to her handle to fondly remember Steve while also sharing some rare and unseen photos with her former flame.
Admitting that they did go through some tough times, she spoke kindly of him and shared that over the past year, they became close again.

Bing is the father of Hurley’s only son, Damien Hurley.
Thanking fans for their condolences and notes of love, she penned a heartfelt tribute that read, “I am saddened beyond belief that my ex Steve is no longer with us. It is a terrible end. Our time together was very happy and I’m posting these pictures because although we went through some tough times, it’s the good, wonderful memories of a sweet, kind man that matter. In the past year, we had become close again. We last spoke on our son’s 18th birthday. This is devastating news and I thank everyone for their lovely messages.”

Steve is also the father of Kira Bonder, who he had with former professional tennis player Lisa Bonder.
In July 2019, a judge ruled Damian and Kira were both entitled to receive a sizable fortune from their grandfather Dr Peter Bing's trust after a trustee from his estate filed court papers seeking to exclude them.
