This is why Kiara Advani started doing South films post 'MS Dhoni: The Untold Story'
Films are keeping Kiara Advani quite busy. The actress, who began her journey in Bollywood with a dud Fugly, became a well-known face with Shahid Kapoor starrer Kabir Singh. Excited about her upcoming release Good Newwz, Kiara is also looking forward to films like Laxmmi Bomb, Bhool Bhulaiya 2 and Shershaah. Interestingly, even after her 2016 film M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story became a hit, she went down south with films like Bharat Ane Nenu (2018) and Vinaya Vidheya Rama (2019).
She reasons, “While I was being approached for south films, initially, I was not so sure if I would be able to do it because of the language barrier. Then, I realised that there are so many actors from north who act and even ace in south film. Then the first film that came to me was with mega superstar Mahesh Babu, I couldn’t have let go of the opportunity. I took it up. The kind of appreciation and acceptance I received after that film was fantastic. It made me value it so much that I told myself that I would like to aim, to do at least one south film a year. I managed to keep that up the second year, as I followed it up with the Ram Charan film. Hope this continues.”
