Mohanlal was in a reflective mood on his 60
thbirthday on May 21, as he looked back at his astounding career in films.
Writing in a blog, the actor, who has done 341 films, noted how he took to the stage in Class 6 and then in Class 10, winning the best actor prize both times, and remembered how it was only after his second film Manjil Virinja Pookkal in 1980, that he got caught up in the magic of cinema.
“I haven’t read any books on acting… but perhaps the thing to do is to disappear and become another person… also become aware of all aspects of filmmaking from the camera to lights and co-stars,” the actor wrote, in reply to the many questions he has received about acting skills.
