Nimisha Sajayan reacts to criticism she received from followers on social media on wearing makeup in photo shoots

Nimisha Sajayan has finally reacted to the criticism she has been getting for showing her disinterest in makeup, during a chat show, hosted by yesteryear actress Annie. Nimisha Sajayan and yesteryear actress Annie made headlines during the whole lockdown and the reason was makeup! Yes, you read it right! ‘Makeup’ became a heated discussion. Nimisha Sajayan had attended a chat show hosted by Annie before the lockdown, and during the chat, Annie had asked Nimisha whether she liked makeup or not? And Nimisha had replied saying that it was a ‘No’ when it came to personal life and it’s a ‘Yes’ if it’s professional.This sparked a lot of controversies and a few netizens criticized Nimisha for wearing makeup in some of her photo shoots.
The actress has finally broken her silence and took to her social media handle to share her thoughts on the same. Nimisha Sajayan said that she had been getting a lot of backlash and comments regarding the television show she attended and that she wanted to clarify a few things about it. “During the show, I was asked personally, whether I like makeup or not. And my answer to that was, I am not interested on personal grounds, but I would put on makeup if the movie demands. A few people found my pictures in which I have put on makeup and have enquired me if it was makeup or the natural look. I can tell you that for photo shoots, television shows, and magazine photoshoots, makeup is essential and I would do that. It’s part of the profession. And the disinterest in makeup is part of my personal life,” Nimisha penned. The actress has also asked to spread truth and positivity on social media instead of hatred.

Nimisha is one of the newbies in M-Town. The actress is identified for her flawless performances and has also won the Kerala State Film award for Best Actress. Nimisha Sajayan was last seen in the 2019 film ‘Standup’.
