I was sad I couldn't be here to know Asuran's result: Dhanush

It's not often that a film manages to run for 100 days in theatres these days, and Vetri Maaran's Asuran, starring Dhanush, has managed to do just that. The film's team met the media to celebrate this success.
Talking at the event, Dhanush said, "I was not in town when the fit hit screens. I was sad I couldn't be here to know its result. At that time, my mom called me up and told me that people were saying that it would become a big hit.She regretted the fact that I was far away at such a time. But I told my mother, 'Vetri is always beside me, ma'. I was referring to Vetri Maaran only. If you have someone like him by your side, everything will turn out to be fine."
The film's producer S Thanu, along with Dhanush and Vetri Maaran, gave out mementos to the entire cast and crew of the film, to mark the momentous occasion.
