Photos: Dhanush prays at his ancestral temple in Theni with his family

Dhanush is one of the leading actors in Tamil cinema and the title of his next film with Karthik Subbaraj was recently announced with a motion poster. The film is titled 'Jagame Thanthiram', and the actor looked impressive with guns in the motion poster. Besides his movies, Dhanush is also known for his religious inclinations. Now, on the occasion of Mahashivratri, Dhanush visited his ancestral temple in Theni along with his family and his pictures have been doing the rounds on social media.

Dhanush was seen with his wife Aishwarya and two sons Yatra and Linga in the pictures. Earlier in the day, Dhanush had shared wishes for Mahashivratri on his Twitter page. Mallingapuram in Theni district of Tamil Nadu is the hometown of Dhanush's father Kasturi Raja. Dhanush's ancestral temple, the 'Kasturi Mangammaal' temple, is located in Muthuranga Puram, Theni, and the actor visited the place with his family to pray on this special day. Also, fans of Dhanush in the village gave a grand welcome to the star.

Meanwhile, Dhanush is working with 'Pariyerum Perumal' fame director Mari Selvaraj on his next film 'Karnan', and the shooting is underway in Tirunelveli.
