Shanthnu, Megha Akash & Kalaiyarasan in Gautham Menon's song ‘Oru Chance Kodu’

After the short film ‘Karthik Dial Seytha Yen’, featuring STR and Trisha, filmmaker Gautham Vasudev Menon has come out with another romantic attempt in the form of an independent song — ‘Oru Chance Kodu’.
The song teaser, featuring Shanthnu Bhagyaraj, Megha Akash, and Kalaiyarasan has left his fans wanting for more.
Sharing the experience of shooting this song during the lockdown, Gautham says, “The core concept of this song is love, friendship and misunderstanding.It’s about a guy’s attempt to convey good things about his friend to a girl, who has had a misunderstanding with him. And he does this in a funny way. Actually, the origin of the song happened even before the lockdown with Karthik, Madan Karky and I discussing about it.”
Apart from the actors, what instantly steals our attention in the song is the location — terrace. Naturally, GVM films and songs always have catchy backdrops. Speaking about this, the director says, “The song has been completely shot in my house. The terrace has become a major hangout place for everyone during this season and I just felt that viewers would connect with it instantly. Apart from the actors, there were just seven crew members, making it more like a gathering of friends with common interests who wanted to do something out of passion. The actors have appeared with no makeup, hairstyling, and the costumes were chosen by Uthara Meon a day before the shoot. Keeping the current restrictions on social distancing and hygiene factors, we all wore masks, except for the actors — when they had to face the camera. We will soon be releasing the full song and I am excited and looking forward to the response from audiences.”
With music by playback singer Karthik, who is currently associated with Gautham’s upcoming release ‘Joshua’, the song has been shot by Manoj Paramahamsa and choreographed by Sathish.
