TN Results 2020 Highlights: Tamil Nadu Board Class 10th result released @ tnresults.nic.in, result link here

Over nine lakh students have finally got their TN 10th result 2020 as the directorate of government examinations, Tamil Nadu announced it on Monday i.e., August 10, 2020. The students who registered for the Tamil Nadu class 10 examination can check their results from the official website of TN DGE — dge.tn.gov.in
Along with the TNDGE website, the SSLC results are also be available on the TN Result portal — tnresults.nic.in. This year the TN 10th result 2020 has recorded 100% pass percentage.

10.06 am: Grievance forms can be obtained from DGE's website
Students can obtain the grievance forms from the DGE's website www.dge.tn.gov.in and processed.
10.00 am: Last date to submit grievance form is August 25
Students who are not satisfied with their TN SSLC results can submit grievance form up to August 25.
09.52 am: Grievance form can be submitted from August 17
If students are not satisfied with their scores, they can submit the grievance form through their schools.
09.46 am: 20% weightage given to attendance
For assessment, the Tamil Nadu government had given 20% weightage to attendance.

09.33 am: 100% pass in TN 10th result 2020
Among the candidates 4,68,070 are girls and 4,71,759 are boys. This year 6,235 differently abled candidates also cleared the exam.

Over nine lakh students had registered for the Tamil Nadu class 10 examination that was scheduled to be held in March.

In view of the rise in numbers in Covid-19 cases, the Tamil Nadu government cancelled the board exams and decided to award marks based on half-yearly and quarterly exam marks of students.

07.00 am: Tamil Nadu 10th result 2020 today
The Tamil Nadu SSLC result 2020 will be announced by the Directorate of Government Examinations, Tamil Nadu today at 9.30 am.
Issuing a notice on Friday C Usharani, director of government exams, had said"The results of Class 10 would be declared at 9.30 am on August 10. Candidates can check their results by registering their date of birth and roll number."
This year, the Tamil Nadu Board had to scrap the class 10 examinations due to the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic and the subsequent lockdown. Since the board did not conduct the final exams, the assessment was done on the basis of candidates' performance in quarterly and half-yearly exams. Students will be awarded 80% weightage for half-yearly and quarterly exam marks, and 20% weightage for attendance.
Every year, the Tamil Nadu Board announces SSLC results in April. However, this year the SSLC result got delayed due to the pandemic. Last year the directorate of government examinations, Tamil Nadu had declared the SSLC results on April 29. The passing percentage of TN SSLC result 2019 was 94.50%.
