Bhabhi Ji Ghar Pe Hain fame Shilpa Shinde has come out and spoken up about the Bollywood drug nexus after several from the industry have reportedly been summoned by the NCB for investigation.
In an interview to Times Now, Shilpa neither defended nor favoured Bollywood but rather shared her thoughts on how the industry operates. She shared that even though consumption of drugs is wrong, then it's rampant not just in the film industry but everywhere.
Shilpa said, "When I was meeting police officers when the Bhabhiji matter was going on, I have seen they used to receive messages about conducting raids at parties and other places.
And those are normal parties, not celebrity parties. I am not taking the side of any celebrity or a Bollywood actor. You know me. I cannot do maska-polish. But this has happened everywhere. We all know that sab jagah saari cheezein chalti hai," she emphasised and added, "In Bollywood, all this happens openly, and to take a celebrity's name is very easy. People enjoy talking about celebrities. Whatever it is, it is her matter, and it is a bad habit. However, there are many good people in Bollywood also. I have seen a lot of people also who started at a very young age because of their surroundings. In Bollywood, there is glamour, so that matters, but this is rampant everywhere."

Talking about the artists and talent management companies, she said, "When talent management companies approach artists, the artists ask what facilities they are going to give them. It depends on person to person. Are these things available? The way Deepika's case has come out. It is about who is demanding. I don't want to blame management companies but it's not just KWAN. But there are a lot of other companies who have to take care of their celebs even when they go abroad."

During the NCB's probe, many popular names from Bollywood have surfaced including Shraddha Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan among others.
