Any record, anywhere in the world of cricket, Virat Kohli will surely break it. Now when he will take to the field in the third T20I against New Zealand in Hamilton, the Indian skipper could add new feathers to his cap.

Kohli with just 25 runs could surpass MS Dhoni in the list of highest run-getters as captain in T20Is.

He is currently in the fourth spot behind Dhoni (1,112), New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson (1148), and South Africa captain Faf du Plessis (1,273).

With a half-century, Kohli could also become the captain with most fifty-plus scores in T20Is.

The batsman is currently tied with du Plessis and Williamson with eight 50 knocks.

Not just these two, 'King' Kohli could also surpass England's Eoin Morgan and become the second captain ever to hit 50 sixes as skipper in T20Is. Kohli currently is seven maximums away from joining that list.

As for India vs New Zealand clash, the Men in Blue have already taken a 2-0 lead in the five-match T20I series.

The first two T20Is were played at the Eden Park ground, which is renowned for its short boundaries.

While the Indian bowlers faced difficulty in the first but made up for it in the second, the Indian batsmen took advantage of the small boundary lines and got India across the rope.

The consistent KL Rahul, along with Kohli and Shreyas Iyer have produced terrific performances with the bat.

Talking about the Indian bowlers, Kohli had said, “We demanded the bowlers stood up and took control of what we wanted to do out there, and our line and lengths... was a very good feature".
