LUCKNOW: A Mathura couple on a cross-country bike tour to raise awareness about water conservation has now included ‘safety against novel coronavirus’ to the travel agenda.
Ajeet Kuntal (32) and Darshana Upadhyay (29), both teachers by profession, started their journey on November 24, 2019, and after travelling 20,000km through Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, southern states and Union Territories arrived in Lucknow on Wednesday.

“Uttar Pradesh is the 24th state we are covering. What we do is meet young people and make them aware about the need to save water. We tell them about various ways of conservation. Now, we shall also spread awareness about Covid-19. We will bust myths and tell people, particularly those in rural areas, about dos and don’ts,” Kuntal said.
From Lucknow, the couple will travel to Bareilly and then to Himachal Pradesh, Dehradun in Uttarakhand, Punjab, Kurukshetra, Panipat and Faridabad in Haryana and Delhi before returning to Mathura (in UP) by April 5.
The duo will cover a total of 30,000km.
