N Vasu to take over as TDB chief

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: N Vasu, former commissioner of Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB), will be sworn in as the new president of TDB on Friday. He will replace A Padmakumar, whose tenure was over on Thursday. P S Ravi will be sworn in as the new TDB member in the vacancy of K P Sankaradas, who retired on Thursday. TDB secretary S Jayasree will administer the oath of office to new chairman and member at 12.10 pm on Friday at Sumangali auditorium, Nanthencode.
Vasus is a nominee of CPM. He had worked as president of Kulakada grama panchayat and the private secretary of minister P K Gurudasan during the V S Achuthanandan government.
