Yadav Mahasabha writes to PM over OBC quota in NEET
JAIPUR: On Friday, All India Year Youth Yadav Mahasabha, wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, demanding that compliance of OBC reservation in medical education institutions of all states and union territories of the country should be ensured in the NEET exam.
In a press conference, President of Mahasabha Dinesh Yadav has demanded that till their demand is fulfilled, NEET examination should be postponed because the Supreme Court and Madras High Court have given instructions to the Central Government to give OBC reservations in NEET.

“Because of non-compliance of OBC reservation norms, from 2017 till now 11000 OBC students have been denied the benefit of reservation. Under the All India Quota, 15% 7.5% and 10% seats are reserved for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and economically weaker sections in all central and state medical educational institutions. However, the reservation for OBC students under the All India quota is limited to central institutions only. We want governemnt to take this issue seriously,” said Yadav.
