Mangaluru: Students exhibit amazing creativity at 'Aloysius' Got Talent'

Mangaluru, Mar 4: Aloysius' Got Talent (AGT), an initiative taken up by the Students' Council 2019-20 of St Aloysius College (Autonomous), where thousands of Aloysians were presented with a platform to shine, a platform like none other for students to present their unique talent and to exhibit their creativity on a massive stage.

Students were allowed to perform with their troop, pick a partner for duet or showcase their talent through a solo performance and avail their chance to win exciting cash prizes.

The grand finale of AGT was held on Wednesday, March 3, in the Mother Teresa Peace Park.

 

The evening was breath taking with stunning performances put up one after the other. It had been a creative exhibition of sheer talent.

The event was graced by the presence of Fr Dr Praveen Martis SJ, principal, the finance officer, Fr Vincent Pinto SJ, Fr Felix Victor SJ, chairman of AGT, Dr Ratan Mohunta, director of Students’ Council, Lloyd Sequeira, president of students’ council, Melnitha Correa, the joint secretary of Students’ Council and the esteemed judges, Harshith Ballal and RJ Thrishool .The event was carried out by the student convenors Lenson Monteiro and Jane Mascarenhas along with organising secretaries, Sneha D'Souza and Vanshika Shetty.

Lloyd Sequeira, the president of students council thanked the student convenors and the organising committee of Aloysius’ Got Talent and they were honoured by Fr Felix Victor SJ, chairman of AGT, Dr Ratan Mohunta, director of Students’ Council and Fr Dr Praveen Martis SJ, principal, for the organisation.

The event was witnessed by 2000 Aloysians. The performances of the 10 finalists were viewed by the audience as they encouraged and displayed support to the finalists.

Harshith Ballal and RJ Thrishool shared their experience with the crowd and addressed the performances.

Fr Vincent Pinto SJ, finance officer who appreciated the finalists for the spectacular performances put forward by them.

Fr Dr Praveen Martis SJ, the principal, imparted his words of appreciation towards Fr Felix Victor SJ, chairman of AGT, Lloyd Sequeira, president of students’ council and the organising committee. Lenson Monteiro, student convenor, proposed the vote of thanks.

Sumith, Raksha and Raag Infinity were declared as the winners of Aloysius Got Talent Season 1.

Afrah Khan (I BBA) and Zeeshan Abdul Khader (I BCom) hosted the grand finale of AGT.

AGT strives to continue providing a platform to the talented and driven youth of St Aloysius in the coming years.
