Mumbai, Sep 9: Model Co-op Bank Ltd crossed another milestone on September 8 with the launch of its very own IFSC code- MDBK0000xxx (where xxx varies depending on the branch). This will facilitate 24 x 7 credits into their customers' accounts and faster processing of transactions.
Model Co-op Bank Ltd continuously endeavours to provide the best customer experience to their customers with professional, quick and efficient customer service. The IFSC code which has been assigned by RBI to the bank is another step in this direction. The fact that the bank has been able to operationalize this service even during these COVID pandemic times shows the determination and commitment of the bank towards its customers. In this context, it would be pertinent to mention that efforts, good performance and financial soundness of the bank have been regularly recognized and felicitated both at the city and state level. The bank has received 11 awards in the last five years for their good performance.
The bank had an 'On-line' launch of the IFSC code with the event being held at its administrative office at 501 Central Plaza, Kalina, Mumbai and live-streamed to the customers of the bank. The bank informed that it opted for the online launch because of the current restrictions on physical gatherings.
Albert W D'Souza- chairman of the bank addressed the viewers/online participants and indicated how the bank has been growing from strength to strength since its inception as a Credit Society 104 years ago. The IFSC code launch was done by Albert W D'Souza, chairman of the bank in the presence of William D'Souza (former general manager and now advisor) and Zenon D'Cruz (officiating general manager), senior officers Osden Fonceca, Vijay Chawan, Anil Menezes, Ratnakar Shetty, Naresh Takuru and staff members participated online along with over 200 customers.
