Sushant S Rajput's sister says he had a row with Rhea on June 8; Ankita Lokhande shares cryptic post

The ongoing investigation into the tragic demise of Bollywood star Sushant Singh Rajput has opened up a can of worms. In a new development, Rajput's sister, Meetu Singh, has informed the Bihar cops that Rajput had an argument with rumoured girlfriend, actress Rhea Chakraborty on June 8.

According to a report in TimesNow, Meetu made a revelation to the cops that Rhea had contacted her on June 8, six days before the 'Kedarnath' actor's death and informed her that she (Rhea) had a 'major argument' with Rajput. After the conversation with Rhea, Meetu had gone to stay with Rajput at his Bandra residence for a few days but she came back to her Versova residence on June 12 to take care of her kids, who are young.

Meetu told the Bihar Police team, which is in Mumbai to probe Sushant Singh Rajput's death case, that she immediately left for Bandra while continuously calling his brother on phone. As soon as she reached, a locksmith was called to open the door.


In another development, Rajput's rumoured ex-girlfriend, Ankita Lokhande, on Wednesday, had shared a cryptic post on her Instagram handle. The Instagram post had two words- 'Truth Wins' - written in white text on a black background.

The post came after Rajput's father filed an FIR against Rhea on Monday. Fans on social media couldn't help but speculate if Ankita's post was about Rajput's case.

After Rajput's father registered the FIR, a four-member team from Patna was sent to Mumbai to collect all evidence related to the ‘Kedarnath’ actor’s death.

The police had registered an FIR against Chakraborty and five other individuals under IPC Section 306 (Abetment of suicide), Sec 341 (Punishment for wrongful restraint), Sec 342 (Punishment for wrongful confinement), Sec 380 (Theft in dwelling house), Sec 406 (Punishment for criminal breach of trust), and Sec 420 (Cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property).

Known for films like "MS Dhoni: The Untold Story" and "Kedarnath", Rajput was found hanging at his Bandra home on June 14. Initial reports suggested that the actor had allegedly died of suicide. No suicide note was found in Rajput’s apartment. His post-mortem report said that he had died of asphyxiation.

The actor was cremated at the Vile Parle crematorium on June 15 amid heavy downpour.
