BSE-NSE bulk deals: eClerx buys back 3 lakh shares from market

PVR’s Rights Entitlement (RE), Carborundum Universal, eClerx, SH Kelkar and Indiabulls Housing Finance witnessed a couple of bulk deals in Tuesday’s trade. Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation and Shriram Transport RE were also lapped up by financial players on Tuesday.

Among the frontline indices, the benchmark equity index BSE Sensex closed 511 points or 1.37 per cent higher at 37,930, while the 50-share Nifty index settled 140 points or 1.27 per cent up at 11,162.

Here’s who bought and sold what in some of the key bulk deals of the day:

>> BlackRock Fund Advisors and Multiples Private Equity Fund sold 20,445 and 36,227 PVR REs at Rs 220.13 and Rs 221.16 respectively, as per data available with the National Stock Exchange.

>> BNP Paribas Arbitrage bought 1,47,000 units of Shriram Transport RE at Rs 107.73.

>> Chiraag Narendra Modh and Pallas Fincap bought 35 lakh and 15 lakh shares respectively of Ujaas Energy at Rs 6.25. On the other hand, SVA Family Welfare Trust sold 88,59,309 shares of the company.

>> Kotak’s India Midcap Fund lapped up 11,62,548 shares of Carborundum Universal at Rs 235 per share, while Smallcap World Fund Inc offloaded nearly 35 lakh shares at Rs 235.19 per share.

>> eClerx bought back 2,30,000 shares from the market at Rs 523.05 per share, as per data available on the National Stock Exchange. However, the company in a regulatory filing disclosed that it bought 3,03,500 shares together from BSE and NSE at an average price of Rs 523.41.
