Buzzing stocks: YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, IB Housing, ICICI Bank

NEW DELHI: YES Bank with over 3.18 crore shares changing hands was leading among the most traded stocks on NSE on Wednesday.

Shares of Vodafone Idea (number of shares traded: 2.66 crore), Indiabulls Housing (number of shares traded: 0.57 crore), Indian Oil Corp (number of shares traded: 0.48 crore), Reliance Power (number of shares traded: 0.39 crore), ICICI Bank (number of shares traded: 0.36 crore), SBI (number of shares traded: 0.34 crore), Adani Gas (number of shares traded: 0.32 crore), Zee Entertainment (number of shares traded: 0.29 crore) and Bank of Baroda (number of shares traded: 0.28 crore) were among the most traded securities on the NSE.

ICICI Bank (Rs 189.89 crore) was leading the pack of most active stocks in value terms.

It was followed by Indiabulls Housing (Rs 182.34 crore), YES Bank (Rs 133.06 crore), HDFC Bank (Rs 129.91 crore), Bharti Airtel (Rs 109.95 crore), SBI (Rs 109.21 crore), Infosys (Rs 100.18 crore), Axis Bank (Rs 94.70 crore), Zee Entertainment (Rs 82.31 crore) and HDFC (Rs 81.66 crore).

The NSE Nifty index was trading 13.1 points up at 12,193.45, while BSE Sensex was up 20.5 points at 41,406.9 around 09:32 am.

In the Nifty index, YES Bank (up 3.91 per cent), UPL (up 3.14 per cent), Indian Oil Corporation (up 1.94 per cent), Coal India (up 1.55 per cent) and Zee Entertainment Enterprises (up 1.06 per cent) stood among top gainers.

While Power Grid Corporation of India (down 3.17 per cent), Kotak Mahindra Bank (down 0.88 per cent), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone (down 0.79 per cent), Infosys (down 0.78 per cent) and Bharti Infratel (down 0.72 per cent) remained top losers of the day.
