Share market update: Auto stocks mixed ahead of RBI's policy outcome

NEW DELHI: Rate sensitive auto stocks were trading on a mixed note in Thursday's session ahead of RBI policy meet outcome.

Shares of Bosch (up 0.96 per cent) , Balkrishna Industries (up 0.56 per cent) , Amara Raja Batteries (up 0.53 per cent) , Ashok Leyland (up 0.51 per cent) , Bharat Forge (up 0.5 per cent) , Tata Motors (up 0.39 per cent) , MRF (up 0.28 per cent) , Exide Industries (up 0.16 per cent) and Bajaj Auto (up 0.04 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Maruti Suzuki (down 1.34 per cent) , Eicher Motors (down 1.27 per cent) , Motherson Sumi Systems (down 0.95 per cent) , Mahindra & Mahindra (down 0.85 per cent) , Hero MotoCorp (down 0.33 per cent) and TVS Motor Company (down 0.2 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

The Nifty Auto index was trading 0.51 per cent down at 7450.8 around 10:06AM.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 56.30 points at 11157.95, while the BSE Sensex was up 171.16 points at 37834.49.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 38 were trading in the green, while 12 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Alok Industries, Tata Motors, SAIL, Zee Ent., SBI, ONGC, Hindalco Inds. and DLF were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
