Share market update: Infra stocks mixed; Reliance Power slumps 5%

NEW DELHI: Shares of infrastructure companies were trading on a mixed note in Wednesday's afternoon session.

Shares of CG Power & Industrial Solutions (up 4.97 per cent), Reliance Infrastructure (up 4.87 per cent), Torrent Power (up 1.26 per cent), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone (up 0.74 per cent), NHPC (up 0.58 per cent), Larsen & Toubro (up 0.45 per cent), GMR Infrastructure (up 0.22 per cent) and Adani Power (up 0.16 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Vodafone Idea (down 6.72 per cent), Reliance Power (down 4.55 per cent), NTPC (down 3.33 per cent), IRB Infrastructure Developers (down 2.69 per cent), Power Grid Corporation of India (down 2.59 per cent), Suzlon Energy (down 1.96 per cent), NBCC (India) (down 1.62 per cent), Bharti Infratel Ltd (down 0.79 per cent), Engineers India (down 0.7 per cent), NCC (down 0.61 per cent), Interglobe Aviation (down 0.61 per cent), Tata Power Company (down 0.59 per cent), Bharti Airtel (down 0.52 per cent), CESC (down 0.39 per cent), Container Corporation of India (down 0.34 per cent) and Bharat Heavy Electricals (down 0.12 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

The Nifty Infrastructure index was trading 0.19 per cent down at 3329.3 around 12:02 pm.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 38 points at 12131.85 , while the BSE Sensex was down 115.83 points at 41,207.98.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 22 were trading in the green, while 28 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Zee Ent., Tata Motors, Indian Oil Corp, ONGC, SBI, Ashok Leyland, Bharti Airtel and Coal India Ltd were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
