Share market update: Orient Electric, Royal Orchid among top gainers on BSE

NEW DELHI: The domestic equity benchmark BSE Sensex was trading 74.50 points up at 40,924.79 on account of buying in frontline bluechip counters.

Shares of Vaswani Ind (up 14.38 per cent) , CHD Chemicals Ltd. (up 9.49 per cent) , Harrisons Mala (up 8.87 per cent) , Morepen Labs (up 6.96 per cent) , Royal Orchid (up 6.81 per cent) , Orient Electric (up 5.38 per cent) and Andrew Yule (up 5.02 per cent) were among the top gainers.

The Nifty 50 index was trading 23.10 points up at 12,066.30.

Among the 50 components in the Nifty index, 24 shares were trading in the green, while 25 were in the red.
