    India Inc seeks government aid to compete globally

    CII said getting clearances is a cumbersome and time consuming process as the jurisdiction of different departments for providing approvals is limited and there is no accountability in case clearance is not granted.

    In a presentation to the government on ‘Ease of doing business for Atmanirbhar Bharat’ earlier this week, industry body Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) suggested effective implementation of a single-window system (SWS) to rationalise procedural time and costs of approvals and clearances involved in starting a business.
