The department, in a circular on Monday, warned the schools of penal action coupled with cancellation of recognition if they were found violating the government orders. The department's action followed complaints to Education Minister S. Suresh Kumar from sections of parents who said their children's schools had commence the process of admissions for the next academic year and were insisting on immediate payment of the tuition fee. The education department said schools must stop all such processes forthwith, and should not send letters or emails, or text messages to parents.
