    Karnataka warns schools of action if they start admission process

    The department, in a circular on Monday, warned the schools of penal action coupled with cancellation of recognition if they were found violating the government orders.

    Bengaluru: The Education department has asked private educational institutions to put off the admission process for the academic year 2020-21 until further orders.

    The department, in a circular on Monday, warned the schools of penal action coupled with cancellation of recognition if they were found violating the government orders. The department's action followed complaints to Education Minister S. Suresh Kumar from sections of parents who said their children's schools had commence the process of admissions for the next academic year and were insisting on immediate payment of the tuition fee. The education department said schools must stop all such processes forthwith, and should not send letters or emails, or text messages to parents.
