ThinkStock PhotosBENGALURU: Hong Kong-based co-working space operator Garage Society has announced the appointment of Nishant Goyal as director of operations and Surabhi Verma as director of commerce in India, said a company statement issued today.
Both positions have been created in order to help the management team cope with Garage Society’s expansion plans and support the company’s growth journey.
Verma brings over a decade’s experience in handling client ecosystems and driving business strategy. At Garage Society, she will be responsible for establishing strategic partnerships, handling sales and initiating new value-add services for members. She joins Garage Society from WeWork, and has also worked with Zomato, KPMG and NowFloats in the past.
Goyal has over 12 years of experience in managing business operations and meeting strategic growth objectives. He will be overseeing the management operations including accounts, business operations, facility management, IT, procurement, project management and overall human resources at Garage Society. Prior to this, he was with Electrotherm India.

Garage Society is an Asia-based co-working space operator established in 2014 with its first workspace in Hong Kong. Currently operating in Hong Kong, India, Singapore, Thailand, Cambodia and the Philippines, it has been growing its footprint across southeast Asia. In India, Garage Society started its operations in February 2019 with their first workspace in Cyber City, Gurugram. Since its launch, it has activated 3,000 workstations across six locations in Delhi NCR including the launch of ‘Garage Enterprise Solution’ - a new product designed to meet the commercial real estate demand of the Indian market.
