    Startek makes chairman Aparup Sengupta its CEO

    Sengupta has a long history with Aegis. He was previously CEO of the company from from 2005 to 2012. He then became the CEO of Aditya Birla-owned BPO Minacs, which was acquired by US-listed Synnex. He is also an operating partner at Capital Square Partners, which bought Aegis and merged it with Startek in 2018.

    BENGALURU: Startek, the US -listed business process outsourcing company which took over India-headquartered Aegis, has appointed Aparup Sengupta, its chairman as its chief executive officer.

    “We expect to report our strongest fourth quarter in company history in March as we complete our closing processes. I look forward to leading Startek into its next evolution as we continue to execute on our various initiatives in 2020,” Sengupta said in a statement.
