NEW DELHI:
Honda Cars India on Thursday launched the
BS6 compliant diesel variant of the
10th gen Honda Civic. The BS6
Honda Civic has already been in the market since March 2019.
The 10th gen
Honda Civic diesel variant will be starting at Rs 20,74,900 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The BS6 Honda Civic diesel variant is powered by a 1.6 i-DTEC Diesel Turbo engine. The engine from the ‘Earth Dream Technology’ series offers a maximum power output of 120 PS and a peak torque of 300 Nm.
The engine is mated to 6-speed
manual transmission.
The new Honda Civic diesel is claimed to offer an impressive fuel economy of 23.9 kmpl.
Along with the engine upgrade, an additional feature in the Civic diesel variant is the
curtain airbags. The Honda Civic will come with 6 airbags as standard.
The Honda Civic will be available in two diesel trims, the VX and the ZX grade. The VX manual transmission trim starts at Rs 20,74,900 (ex-showroom, Delhi), whereas the ZX manual transmission trim starts at Rs 22,34,900 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
