UP: 17-year-old shot dead during marriage function in Etah

AGRA: A Class XI student was shot in the head during a marriage ceremony in Bagwala area of Etah district. He died on the spot.
The incident took place in Jisukhpur village at around 12.30am on Wednesday. The victim was identified as Moharpal Singh (17). He was student of GIC School in Etah.
According to the autopsy report, the youth was shot in right temporal lobe.
By Wedneday evening, police arrested the main accused Pratap Singh (38) and recovered .315 bore country-made weapon used in the murder.

Though, based on the victim’s father Thaan Singh's written complaint, Bagwala police booked three men, including the main accused and two other men identified as Hirdesh and Raman, the two cousins of the accused under IPC Section 302 (murder).
Speaking to TOI, Dharmender Singh, station house officer of Bagwala said, “During probe, we found that five days ago, accused Pratap Singh was caught red-handed while in a compromising position with his neighbour Sunita (40) by her son Saurab, who is a classmate of the deceased Moharpal Singh.”
"Angry over this, Saurab assaulted and insulted his mother, while Pratap Singh fled from the spot. Later, Pratap assumed that it was Moharpal Singh, the neighbour who informed Saurab about his relationship with Sunita. Later, the accused confronted the victim and shot him dead,” said the SHO.
