AGRA: Twenty-four including eight women were booked for obtaining assistant teacher job at primary school with fake BEd degrees of 2004-05 batch. The FIR was lodged based on written complaint of

Shahganj police.
The accused were identified as Hari Chand posted at primary school (PS) Nagla Gadima, Chandran Singh deputed at Sahata PS, Sudha posted at Balhera PS,
Kavita Gautam at Nagla Akkhe PS, Renu Kumari at Swami Bichpuri PS, Nishikant at Ladamda PS, Geeta at Ladamda PS, Aswani Kumar Yadav at Bhogpura PS, Surekha at Karahi PS, Yogendra Kumar at Gadhi Pratap PS, Dharmesh Kumar Singh at Mahua PS, Arun Kumar at Rahan Kala PS, Ram Kishore at Semra PS, Pramod Kumar at Mauakhera PS, Akanksha Kumari at Ghadital PS, Chetan Sharma at Ratoti PS, Kamal Vikram at Kukthari PS, Shailendra Kumar at Pinhat PS, Yogendra Singh at Nauharika PS, Sarita Kumari at Nagla Dhana PS, Chandra Shekhar at Pehchan PS, Dalveer at Badovra Khurd PS, Poonam Kumari at Shankarpur Dwari PS and Vijay Kumari at Kolara Kala PS.
All 24 were booked under IPC sections 420 (cheating), 468 (Forgery for purpose of cheating), and 471 (Using as genuine a forged).
According to FIR, "On January 22, 2020, a probe report on Agra university BEd degree scam submitted by special investigation team, traced a total of 3,637 fake BEd degree holders—out of which 1,084 were having tempered marksheets, while 45 were having duplicate roll numbers. The report further revealed, that 2,823 fake BEd degree holders never presented themselves to university and SIT authorities along with their academic documents.”
BSA Agra Rajeev Kumar in FIR said, "Out of 2,823 fake BEd degree holders, we traced 24 working at primary school of Agra." According to BSA office, all the accused jobs have been terminated after the revelation.
The FIR further read, "From 3,637 fake degree holders only 814 candidates presented themselves to probing authorities, however 796 failed to present any documents of their academic qualification. Only 18 men and women showed their documents, which were been verified."
