AGRA: Two persons were killed while two suffered injuries, including an additional district judge of Etah district court, after the hatchback they were travelling in collided head-on with a tractor trolley near Awagadh on Etah-Tundla state highway on Thursday evening. The judge was heading towards Tundla railway station to drop his father.
After the accident, the driver of tractor fled away.

Local police led by superintendent of police Sunil Kumar Singh visited spot to rescue the victims.
According to police, the deceased victims were identified as Shivmandir Barnwal (70) and Chanderkesh Yadav (50), the driver of hatchback.
The injured included Etah ADJ I Ashok Kumar Barnwal (51) and his guard Rajpal Singh (38).
Speaking to TOI, Ajeet Singh, station house officer of Awagadh said, "The two survivors were critically injured. Judge Ashok had suffered severe facial injury and was admitted to a private hospital in Agra. His guard, Rajpal too is in ICU."
Officer Singh said, "Prima facie it looks that the speeding tractor trolley hit victim's hatchback while attempting to overtake another vehicle."

"A written complaint in the matter is yet to be received", he added.
It's important to note, that on October 31, judge Ashok Kumar Baranwal, cancelled the anticipatory bail plea of former Union minister Salman Khurshid’s wife, Louise, and her associate Athar Farooqi, seeking protection from arrest in a nine-year-old case pertaining to alleged misappropriation of central government funds meant for disabled persons.
The fact was confirmed by district government counsel, Vinod Pachauri, who represented EOW to challenge Khurshid's bail plea.
