Ahmedabad: Minor girl raped, videos circulated; two held

AHMEDABAD: A 15-year-old girl from Sardarnagar was allegedly raped several times by her boyfriend from school. The accused used to allegedly ask the girl to send her nude photographs and also filmed the sexual assaults.
The girl has told the cops that these events unfolded over six months. She said the accused used to send the photographs to his friends, who then stalked the girl and asked for sexual favours.When she refused their demands, they uploaded the videos.
The inspector of Sardarnagar police station, Hemant Patel, said that the main accused has been held. One of his three friends, who had made the videos viral, has also been arrested by police.
“We have registered two complaints, one for the rape and one for making the videos viral,” Patel said.
“The complaints have been made under POCSO and IT Acts.”
He said that the two accused who are still on the run will be arrested soon. “We have seized the mobile phone of the accused and are taking the help of the cybercrime cell to analyze it,” Patel said.
According to the complaint lodged by the girl’s father, she had fallen in love with the accused.
