Three robbers arrested, cellphones seized

ALLAHABAD: With the arrest of three men near Narayanpur crossing in Pratapgarh, cops on Thursday claimed to have busted an inter-district gang of robbers and seized five mobile phones, two bikes, ATM cards, Adhar cards and cash from their possession.
The accused were identified as Badal Saroj of Lakhipur, Vishal Sagar of Kodhur and Sarvajeet Gautam of Pratapgarh. Pratapgarh SP Abhishek Singh said the robbers were arrested near Narayanpur crossing .
“They had looted Rs 5000 cash, two mobile phones and other valuables from a woman near Diwanganj Chilbila when she was travelling in an auto last month. Besides, the trio had also snatched a mobile phone from a student on January 14,” said Singh.
