*Update at 1pm: Active cases have reduced and currently comprise only 28.66% of the total positive cases. India has posted more than 9 lakh recoveries than the active cases (6,34,945).

*The surge in the number of Covid-19 cases in Mysuru has forced the district administration to pull all stops to ensure adequate number of beds to accommodate all patients.The delay in the setting up of many Covid Care Centres (CCCc) to house asymptomatic patients and those with mild symptoms has compelled the authorities concerned to make alternative arrangements, which includes increasing the number of beds for people testing positive for the novel coronavirus.
