Unlock 3.0 in Bengaluru: Coronavirus cases update and latest news from your city

Karnataka government issued an order lifting Sunday and night curfews from August 1, and allowed gyms and yoga institutes to reopen from August 5 in line with the Centre’s Unlock 3.0 guidelines.
*Update at 1pm: Active cases have reduced and currently comprise only 28.66% of the total positive cases. India has posted more than 9 lakh recoveries than the active cases (6,34,945).Case Fatality Rate is 2% as on date and is steadily declining, reports ANI quoting ministry of health & family welfare
*Update at 12.56pm: India's Covid-19 recoveries have crossed the historic peak of 1.5 million, with a recovery rate of almost 70%. Highest ever single-day recoveries of 54,859 reported in the last 24 hours. Total recoveries now exceed the active cases by more than 9 lakhs, reports ANI quoting ministry of health
*The surge in the number of Covid-19 cases in Mysuru has forced the district administration to pull all stops to ensure adequate number of beds to accommodate all patients.The delay in the setting up of many Covid Care Centres (CCCc) to house asymptomatic patients and those with mild symptoms has compelled the authorities concerned to make alternative arrangements, which includes increasing the number of beds for people testing positive for the novel coronavirus.
