Panchkula: Man shoots at mom of his wife’s lover

PANCHKULA: A man allegedly shot twice at a 50-year-old woman at her house in Sundarpur village in Barwala on Saturday night. Surinder Kaur is battling for her life at PGI, Chandigarh.
Vijay Sharma (28), a resident of Kesari village in Ambala, was caught by villagers and handed over to the police after a thrashing.
Police said the wife of the accused had eloped with the son of the victim a couple of months back.She had also taken away her four-year-old son with her. The accused had been asking his wife to return the child. At 9pm, he landed up at the house of the victim and had an argument with her and her son. When she refused to hand over the child to him, he allegedly took out a pistol and fired twice at her chest.
