CHANDIGARH: Ajay Singh Chautala, president of Jannayak Janata Party (JJP), the BJP’s coalition partner in the Haryana government, said his party along with Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) led by Sukhbir Singh Badal had been assured by BJP national president J P Nadda that there would not be any dilution of MSP for crops after introduction of the three new agri-marketing bills.
In an exclusive interaction with TOI on Friday, Ajay Chautala made it clear that JJP as of now had no plans to exit from the coalition government in Haryana over the new bills, especially in view of SAD MP Harsimrat Kaur Badal’s resignation from the Union Cabinet in view of the assurance given to them on the MSP.

Ajay said: “Resignation of Harsimrat Kaur is SAD’s internal matter and only they can better explain it. Our concern and main commitment to the farmers is to ensure they get MSP for their crops.”
Revealing the details of his meeting with Sukhbir in his farmhouse in Delhi on Monday, Ajay said: “We had a meeting with SAD leader Sukhbir Badal at Delhi on Monday to discuss the ongoing farmers protest. We spoke to BJP president J P Nadda to get clarity. After discussing the issue with Union agriculture minister Narendra Singh Tomar on the new bills, Nadda assured us that there will not be any dilution of MSP of crops.”
