NAWANSHAHR: Two NRI brothers were shot at and one of them injured by a group of unidentified persons on Barnala-Garhshankar road when the two were going home in their car in Garhshankar on Sunday night.
They were the organisers of a kabaddi tournament scheduled on Monday, which was cancelled after the attack.
Canada-based brothers Sharanjeet Singh and Kirandeep Singh were returning home from Nawanshahr when a car drove up next to them and people inside it fired at them.
Sharanjeet was injured, and Kirandeep sped the car away and took his brother to a private hospital.
