Teen abducted from Panipat park, raped in moving car

CHANDIGARH: A teenage girl who was allegedly abducted from a park and gang-raped in a moving car by two youths in Panipat city of Haryana on Friday evening, was found unconscious there some hours later. Police have arrested the two accused and seized the car.
The survivor, a student of Class XI, had gone for tuitions classes that got over at 6pm. When the girl did not reach home till late, her worried parents began to look for her and lodged a complaint with the police.Late in the evening, her family came to know that she was found unconscious.
It is learnt that the accused called the girl to a park where they were allegedly drinking with two friends. They reportedly offered her liquor after which she lost consciousness. They raped her in a moving car and dumped her in a parkwhere her scooter was parked.
A case under various sections of the IPC and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act was registered at Panipat city police station. Panipat SP Sumit Kumar said the accused had been arrested. The police were trying to ascertain whether the two other men who were initially present in the car, were involved in the crime.
